


This reclaimed teak bone inlay design combines waxed teak with irregular bone squares.
All our teak comes from reclaimed sources. These can vary from old doors, floors, columns, staircases and terraces from old houses. These items are then given a new lease of life and turned into beautiful and sustainable floors.
Our teak briquettes are veneered over a marine ply substrate to minimise warpage and for ease of installation.

Quadrati is built around a simple grid made deliberately less rigid by the irregular edges of the pale bone squares. Against the warm, richly grained timber, the repeated inserts create a measured rhythm without making the surface feel mechanically uniform. The contrast also brings attention to knots, grain changes and other marks retained within the reclaimed teak.

The elongated rectangular format allows the briquette itself to contribute to the layout as much as the internal grid. Because reclaimed teak bone inlay contains natural material variation, sample review is useful when establishing tone, grain direction and the balance between adjacent pieces.
The marine ply substrate is intended to improve stability and simplify installation. Final setting out should nevertheless be reviewed for the specific project, particularly at edges, transitions, stairs, doors and other areas where the repeat meets adjoining materials.
