Blue cream lattice tiles as a product brings a quiet, ordered rhythm to interiors that need pattern without visual heaviness. Lattice Dot – Blue/Cream is one of the most delicate designs in the Haveli collection, using simple lines, angled marks and dots to create a repeat with structure, lightness and movement. The blue detailing sits against a cream ground, giving the tile a fresh but measured character that works well in refined residential and hospitality settings.
The most delicate of the designs in this collection.
Another investigation into what can be done with simple lines angles and dots when put into repeat.
“I always think that putting shapes into repeat is a bit like arranging notes in music only it produces a visual rhythm and tune rather than audible one. I hope this collection demonstrates this,” as Crosland so elegantly says.
The design is based on the idea that small repeated marks can behave almost like musical notes, creating a visual rhythm across the surface. Across a splashback, bathroom wall, restaurant interior or residential walling scheme, these blue cream lattice tiles build into a calm geometric field. The pattern is precise enough to give direction, but the handpainted finish keeps it from feeling rigid or mechanically produced.
As part of Neisha Crosland – HAVELI, Lattice Dot – Blue/Cream belongs to a family of glazed terracotta tiles with distressed matte finishes, earthy colourways and small geometric designs. The blue and cream palette gives this design a particularly usable quality: crisp enough for a clean decorative statement, but soft enough to sit alongside stone, timber, plaster, metal and other natural surface materials.
