Ming Blue Tango Tiles bring Neisha Crosland’s swirling floral motif into a deep blue terracotta surface with a handpainted antiqued finish. Part of De Ferranti’s FLORIS collection, Tango – Ming Blue is a 20 cm x 20 cm decorative tile for interiors that need movement, colour and a crafted surface with a strong botanical rhythm.
The Tango design is based on swirling, dancing, frilly-edged flowers, grouped in twosomes across the tile. The motif has a sense of motion, almost as if the flowers are turning around each other, but the repeat remains controlled enough for larger wall or floor areas where the specification allows.
In Ming Blue, the colourway has a clear, ceramic-rich presence. It can sit well with plaster, pale limestone, timber, brass, bronze, antique mirror, leather and other specialist De Ferranti materials. The blue gives the surface definition, while the handpainted finish prevents the repeat from feeling too sharp or mechanically printed.
Tango – Ming Blue is listed with a handpainted antiqued finish. Slight shifts in tone, line, glaze and ground are part of the finished character, helping the tile retain the surface variation expected from handmade terracotta.
Ming Blue Tango Tiles can be considered for bathrooms, kitchens, fireplace surrounds, flooring, walling, residential interiors, restaurants, swimming pool tile areas and warm climate exterior applications, subject to project specification. Used in a compact area, they can define a kitchen splashback, shower wall, pool room detail or fireplace return. Across a broader surface, the Tango repeat creates a blue patterned field with rhythm, contrast and handmade surface depth.
