Umber Marigold Tiles bring Neisha Crosland’s flowering climber motif into a warm brown terracotta surface with a handpainted antiqued finish. Part of De Ferranti’s FLORIS collection, Marigold – Umber is a 20 cm x 20 cm decorative tile for interiors that need depth, pattern and a crafted surface with an earthy, grounded character.
The Marigold design is based on a jaunty flowering climber, unfurling and furling across the tile in a highly glazed one-colour stencil effect. In Umber, the motif has a darker, more grounded register than the brighter Marigold colourways, giving the repeat depth without making it feel heavy.
The umber brown tone can sit well with plaster, pale limestone, aged timber, bronze, brass, antique mirror, leather and other specialist De Ferranti materials. It is especially useful where a room needs botanical pattern but also warmth, restraint and a natural pigment quality.
Marigold – Umber is listed with a handpainted antiqued finish. The surface should be understood as crafted rather than mechanically uniform, with small shifts in line, glaze, tone and ground forming part of its finished character.
Umber Marigold Tiles can be considered for bathrooms, kitchens, fireplace surrounds, flooring, walling, leisure areas, residential interiors, restaurants, swimming pool tile areas and warm climate exterior applications, subject to project specification. Used in a compact area, they can add depth to a kitchen splashback, shower wall, pool room detail or fireplace return. Across a broader wall or floor, the flowering climber creates a warm patterned field with movement, richness and handmade surface texture.
