Russet Jacob’s Tree Tiles bring Neisha Crosland’s Tree of Life motif into a warm reddish-brown terracotta surface with a handpainted antiqued finish. Part of De Ferranti’s FLORIS collection, Jacob’s Tree – Russet is a 20 cm x 20 cm decorative tile for interiors that need botanical pattern, drawn detail and a richer, earth-toned surface.
The Jacob’s Tree design is based on abstract magnolia flowers grafted onto a Tree of Life. Its influences include Jacobean embroidery, copper-plate illustration from old fairy tale books and Paul Poiret, giving the tile a layered decorative language without making it feel like a direct historical copy.
In Russet, the colour has a more grounded and expressive quality than the softer Catkin, Celadon or Rose versions. The reddish-brown tone works well with plaster, pale stone, aged timber, brass, bronze, antique mirror, leather and other specialist De Ferranti materials. It is a useful choice where a room needs warmth, line and surface movement without relying on a busy palette.
Jacob’s Tree – Russet is listed with a handpainted antiqued finish. The 20 cm x 20 cm format gives the repeat a practical scale for walls, floors and feature areas where the specification allows. The fine linework gives the surface interest at close range, while the repeat forms a more settled field across larger installations.
Russet Jacob’s Tree Tiles can be considered for bathrooms, kitchens, fireplace surrounds, flooring, walling, leisure areas, residential interiors, restaurants, swimming pool tile areas and warm climate exterior applications, subject to project specification. Used sparingly, the tile can define a splashback, shower wall, fireplace return or pool room detail. Across a broader surface, the Tree of Life repeat becomes warm, rhythmic and quietly distinctive.
