Ming Blue Hexagon Tiles bring Neisha Crosland’s Dog Rose motif into a compact six-sided terracotta format with a cool blue handpainted surface. Part of De Ferranti’s FLORIS collection, Dog Rose – Ming Blue is a 19 cm x 17 cm hexagon tile for interiors that need botanical reference, graphic order and a crafted decorative finish.
The Dog Rose design is based on the variable climbing wild rose, a species native to Europe, northwest Africa and western Asia. Rather than translating the flower literally, the motif is reduced into dots and worked through a six-sided polygon-hexagon tile. This gives the surface a floral rhythm, but the geometry keeps the repeat clean and usable.
In Ming Blue, the colourway has a crisp, ceramic character. It can sit naturally with pale stone, plaster, timber, brass, antique mirror, leather and other specialist De Ferranti materials, especially where a scheme needs blue pattern without a heavy decorative field.
Dog Rose – Ming Blue is made with a mixture of rough whitewash terracotta and glaze, listed with a handpainted antiqued finish. The surface should be read as crafted rather than mechanically uniform, with tonal movement, brush variation and softened edges contributing to the finished installation.
Ming Blue Hexagon Tiles can be considered for bathrooms, kitchens, fireplace surrounds, flooring, walling, leisure areas, residential interiors, restaurants, swimming pool tile areas and external use in warm climates, subject to project specification. Used in smaller quantities, the hexagon format can define a splashback, shower wall, pool room detail or fireplace return. Across a broader area, it creates a patterned surface with clear geometry, botanical memory and a confident designer signature.
