The Tiffany Art Nouveau tile forms part of De Ferranti’s Art Nouveau Collection of handpainted ceramic panels.

In the spirit of reviving historical decorative movements, our Art Nouveau Collection comprises 8 handpainted 49 cm square ceramic panels of sixteen 11cm square tiles in vivid shades or orange, yellow and green.

Tiffany Art Nouveau Tile Design

Tiffany presents deep aubergine blooms on pale sage-green stems, with broad heart-shaped leaves and fine dark outlines against a white ground. The individual tile is arranged with a strong central flower, paired side blooms and smaller buds extending towards the upper corners. Subtle variation within the painted colour retains the character of the hand and keeps the design from feeling mechanically uniform.

When sixteen tiles are assembled, the stems and leaves connect across the joints to form a balanced floral lattice. Burgundy flowers punctuate the repeat, while the pale green foliage gathers into rounded, four-lobed forms around open areas of white. The resulting panel is symmetrical and ordered, yet the curved stems and changing scale of the blossoms preserve the fluid movement associated with Art Nouveau.

The dark outlines separating the coloured areas give the composition a stained-glass-like clarity. Rather than imitating a specific historical object, Tiffany translates the period’s botanical stylisation, strong contours and decorative rhythm into a ceramic surface suitable for contemporary as well as traditional interiors.

Hand-Painted Floral Ceramic Panel

The Tiffany Art Nouveau tile is intended for decorative internal wall applications, including bathrooms, residential interiors, restaurants and commercial settings. It can be used as a framed feature panel, repeated across a larger wall or coordinated with plain ceramics and complementary natural materials.

As the complete composition is formed from sixteen individual tiles, the sequence and orientation should be checked before installation. A dry layout or project mock-up can confirm the continuity of the pattern, joint spacing, grout colour and the relationship between the panel and adjoining surfaces.
