This unique sandy leaf border is inspired by Laurel leaves. It is fashioned from Tufo Romanico and hard White Limestone over a cement base ensuring that the border is not only stable and sound, but also easy to install. Totally handcut, hand assembled, a truly handmade product. No border is the same as the artist’s hand is vital in creating natural nuances within each interlocking piece. Thicknesses can be 1cm or 2cm or to order as can the border widths and material combinations. All the De Ferranti borders are fully customisable.

Sandy Leaf Border in Tufo Romanico and White Limestone

Marina Chiara Border has a light, restrained rhythm, with pale white limestone leaf forms set into a warm, sandy Tufo Romanico field. A slim central line divides the composition, allowing the leaf motifs to alternate gently above and below the band. The effect is quiet, natural and ordered, giving the border decorative movement without strong contrast.

This sandy leaf border is suited to projects where a floor or wall detail needs softness, warmth and handcut character. It can be used to frame a stone floor, define a threshold, create a perimeter band, outline a fireplace surround or introduce a pale botanical motif into a larger interior composition, subject to the final specification and installation method.
