Totally handcut, hand assembled, a truly handmade product. No border is the same, as the artist’s hand is vital in creating natural nuances within each interlocking piece. Connemara Marble is a serpentine-rich rock, popular since ancient times as a decorative facing stone.

With its ‘forty shades of green’ and its wild patterns, it represents perfectly the landscapes of the Emerald Isle. Connemara Marble inspired artists, architects and artisans throughout the world. Thicknesses can be 1cm or 2cm or to order, as can the border widths and material combinations. All the De Ferranti borders are fully customisable.

Earth Toned Marble Border with Warm Teardrop Accents

Emerald Isle Border 3 has a warmer and more mineral character than the cooler green and blue versions in the Emerald Isle series. The stone field moves through green, cream and brown veining, while red, peach and pale teardrop accents create a gentle decorative sequence along the length of the border.

This earth toned marble border is well suited to interiors that need natural movement, softness and handcut detail rather than a high-contrast graphic line. It can frame a stone floor, define a threshold, outline a feature area or add a warm decorative edge to a fireplace or wall composition, subject to the final specification and installation method.
