Green inlaid border, the Attica Border in Green brings two tone diagonals and diamonds into a balanced geometric composition. Designed as an elegant interlocking, Greco-Roman inspired border frame, it can be used around a floor, wall or architectural detail to lift and personalise an interior scheme.
This unique Attica inlaid border is fashioned from green and soft grey stones. It is supplied over a stone or marble base, helping the border remain stable, sound and easier to install. Totally hand-cut and hand assembled, it is a genuinely handmade product. No border is exactly the same, as the artist’s hand is vital in creating natural nuance within each interlocking piece.
Thicknesses can be 2 cm or made to order, as can the border widths and material combinations. All De Ferranti borders are fully customisable.
The strength of this green inlaid border lies in its disciplined rhythm. The repeated diamonds, diagonals and elongated chevrons create movement without excessive ornament, making the design suitable for both classical and contemporary interiors. The soft grey ground keeps the composition calm, while the green stone gives the pattern mineral depth and a cooler, more distinctive character.
This border can be considered for framed stone floors, bathroom detailing, wall borders, fireplace surrounds, reception areas, restaurants and other interiors where a measured decorative line is required. Subject to specification, it may also be considered for external use in warm climates.
As part of De Ferranti’s Borders – Various Disciplines collection, Attica Border in Green sits alongside a wide range of stone, marble, mosaic, metal and specialist inlay borders. Its geometric language also connects naturally with Geometrics, Patterns & Combinations, Cosmati – Sacred Geometry in Coloured Stone & Smalti and De Ferranti’s broader Inlay – Intarsio work.
