Bone Versailles Inlay with Classical Parquet Geometry

This Bone Versailles Inlay reinterprets the language of Parquet de Versailles through pale bone veneer. Instead of timber blocks, the design uses fine inlaid sections to form the familiar square framework, diagonal lattice and interlocking geometry associated with one of the most recognisable classical floor patterns.

The surface is pale, tonal and quietly decorative. Natural variation within the bone gives the composition warmth and movement, while the geometry keeps the panel disciplined and architectural without feeling heavy. The result is more restrained than a black-and-white chequer or harlequin, but still rich in pattern and craftsmanship.

For clarity, this is a bone and horn veneer product, not ivory. It belongs to De Ferranti’s specialist inlay and veneer collection, where natural materials are used to create decorative walling, furniture details, panels and carefully specified interior surfaces.
