A basket-weave inspired shell mosaic , built from cross-sliced shell strips arranged into alternating “woven” blocks, then finished with clean white grout and a smooth ground surface.

Kabebe Weave takes its cue from traditional Asian weaving patterns, translating the logic of interlaced fibres into a tactile, architectural surface. Slender shell slices are laid in tight, parallel runs, then rotated from block to block to create the illusion of over-and-under movement.

The warm, earthy base tone is lifted by the pale shell and crisp white grout lines, giving the pattern both depth and clarity. As light moves across the face, the shell reveals subtle pearlescent flashes within the disciplined grid.
