This field is built from unpolished Black Lip shell pieces, cut in organic fragments and assembled to emphasise movement and variation. The natural banding and iridescence of the shell reads in smoky , charcoal, and olive tones, with flashes of silver as light catches the surface.
The crackled effect comes from the irregular geometry and the honest presence of the grout lines, giving the panel a rugged, almost geological character, like dried mud beds or fractured terrain, but with the unmistakable shimmer of underneath. A clear protective top coat is applied to stabilise and seal the surface while preserving its raw, tactile quality.
Suitable for wall cladding, feature panels, bar fronts, counters, tabletops, cabinetry inserts, mirror frames, and furniture accents. Produced to order in a range of panel sizes and thicknesses depending on the intended use.
