Tilapia Scale Tile
A soft, silvery-grey skin surface with a calm, watery character, where overlapping fish scales create a natural armour of repeating pattern, like ripples and current captured in texture.

Tilapia Scale Tile is formed from layered fish skin pieces, arranged with visible overlap so the scale structure reads clearly across the surface. The pattern is defined by small, tight scales that repeat in a subtle rhythm, giving the tile a fine-grain texture that feels organic rather than geometric.

Colour sits in misty greys with faint smoky undertones and occasional warm notes, with gentle tonal variation from piece to piece that comes from the natural skin and the way it is cut and layered. The overlaps create soft shadow lines, adding depth and movement without high relief.

Best suited to vertical decorative applications such as cabinetry panels, wall cladding, niche backings, bar fronts and feature details in dry interior settings. As a natural skin finish, variation is expected and part of the appeal - blend tiles during installation to distribute tone and pattern evenly. Specify appropriate sealing and maintenance, avoid abrasive cleaning, and detail edges carefully to protect the layered scale construction.
