Created for the Metallics section within De Ferranti’s Ceramics collection, Byzantino 8 uses restrained geometry to deliver impact through texture and sheen rather than colour. Soft off-white fields provide a warm, mineral base, while pale silver metallic segments sweep in from the edges to complete circles as the tiles repeat.

The metallic glaze has a gentle, pearly reflectivity with subtle speckling that catches light differently across each arc, giving the surface movement without becoming busy. Fine joints and crisp cut lines keep the pattern sharp, while the circular motif introduces a softer counterpoint to the more angular Byzantino designs.
