Inspired by the decorative arts that flourished around the Champagne fairs in the era of Thibaut IV, Medievalissimo revives an engraving-like approach used to create high-aesthetic tiles for cathedrals and noble homes. Motifs were drawn from the world around the artisans - vines, leaves, heraldry, bestiary symbols - then brought to life through the chemistry of clay and firing.
This tile features a leaf-and-fleur composition framed within a border, rendered in warm ochre against a deep brown ground. The surface shows natural speckling, gentle glaze variation, and softly irregular edges that signal true handcraft. Use it as an accent tile, a repeating field, or as part of a larger framed panel where pattern and story matter.
