Axehead Interlock Tile – Ash and Charcoal
A matt glazed ceramic axehead interlock tile in ash and charcoal tones, using a bold, angular module to create a woven, stepped geometry with depth, movement, and a quietly industrial feel.

This format is built from the classic axehead (pickaxe) shape, designed to lock together into a continuous repeating field. Laid in pattern, the joints create a strong zigzag rhythm and a layered, almost woven effect, where the geometry does the visual work rather than colour or ornament.

The matt glaze keeps the surface dusty and architectural, while natural tonal variation within each piece gives the installation a timeworn, stone-like character. The palette shifts between pale ash, smoky greys, and deeper charcoal notes, making it easy to pair with timber, blackened metals, warm plaster, and natural stone.

Ideal for floors and walls in entrance halls, corridors, kitchens, bathrooms, and feature areas where you want pattern without glare. As with all handmade-look ceramics, slight variation in tone and marking is part of the character.
