Totally handcut and hand assembled, this is a truly handmade product. No border is the same, as the artist’s hand is vital in creating natural nuances within each interlocking piece. Opus vermiculatum is a single row, or several rows, of tesserae following the outline of a feature, such as a figure or other subject, in a mosaic . Thicknesses can be 1cm or 2cm or to order, as can the border widths and material combinations. All the De Ferranti borders are fully customisable.

Vermiculatum Bianco e Cotto Border has a warm, fragmentary rhythm, with small pale Pietra Bianca squares punctuating a field of Yellow Leathery Terracotta.
