Red Porphyry & Green Serpentine Border – Axe Head Tessellation
A bold two-stone border combining rare red porphyry with richly veined green serpentine, cut into repeating axe head modules for a rhythmic, graphic edge detail.

This border is built from interlocking axe head shapes - broad, curved heads that meet point to point to form a continuous chain across the run. The geometry is simple but powerful, reading almost like a woven band when repeated, with the curves creating movement without becoming ornate.

Red porphyry brings density, depth and an imperial richness, while green serpentine adds dramatic natural veining and energy, creating a high-contrast composition that feels both antique and sharply architectural.

Ideal for framing floors, outlining a central stone rug, defining thresholds, or introducing a strong perimeter band around larger stone fields. As with all natural stone, expect variation in tone and veining, with sequencing available on request for longer runs.
