Neisha Crosland
Babylon Black Undulating Inlay Border
A sculptural inlay panel in Babylon Black, defined by a hand patinated, undulating surface that catches light like folded fabric across a dark stone field.

This panel features a rhythmic, petal-like geometry pressed into a gently domed and recessed relief, creating a quilted effect with soft highlights and deep shadow. The surface is hand patinated to enrich the black tone and emphasise the movement of the forms, giving the stone a lived-in, almost metallic depth.

Finished with a Babylon Black border, the piece reads as a complete architectural panel, suitable for feature walls, fireplace surrounds, bar fronts, reception desks, or framed inserts within larger stone schemes. The pattern is bold but controlled, designed to feel tactile and architectural rather than decorative.

As with all hand finished stone, variation in , tonal depth and light response is inherent, and the panel can be adapted in size, proportion and border treatment for bespoke installations.
