For a hotel in the Algarve, Portugal, De Ferranti supplied a bespoke pebble mosaic insert to the pool coping and surrounding terrace, specified by the hotel’s in-house design team. Designed as a tactile border detail, the pebblework brings crafted character to the pool edge while improving grip in wet areas.

The insert is formed from smooth, rounded pebbles hand-set into a braided, directional pattern that frames the pool geometry and softens the transition between stone paving and waterline mosaic. The natural pebble tone sits comfortably against pale stone slabs, adding texture and shadow without visual noise.

nPlaced at the coping and surround, the pebble mosaic acts as both a decorative signature and a functional safety detail, offering underfoot traction where bare feet meet water.
