The composition pairs a pointed floral panel with a cross-shaped branching module, allowing the repeat to alternate between a tall plant form and a compact central bloom.

The first module presents coral fan-shaped flowers rising from green stems above broad blue leaves. The companion piece centres a dark green flower, outlined in ochre and finished with an orange heart, with small blossoms and leaves extending towards each arm. Against the pale crackled ground, the colours remain clear but visibly hand worked. Changes in brush pressure and glaze density prevent the stylised motif from reading as a printed surface.
