Antique Jerusalem Limestone and Historic Patina

The character of antique Jerusalem stone comes from the relationship between its warm limestone base and the marks accumulated across an aged surface. The visible material ranges through creamy parchment, pale honey and deeper ochre notes, with pits, softened edges and darker mineral markings creating the irregularity expected from historic stone. The first gallery image also shows how strongly the pale field can work beside a darker mosaic border, giving designers a useful model for framing and contrast.
