This magnolia marble vessel is carved as a flower in motion, using thick curling petals and an irregular rim to create a sculptural centrepiece rather than a conventional bowl. Carved from white marble with natural tonal variation, the form is built from overlapping petals that fold towards a deep organic cavity at the centre. The edge is softly undulating rather than perfectly uniform, giving the carving a hand-worked character, while the interior planes are gently polished so that light moves across them in broad gradients. Shadow gathers between the layered petals, producing depth from every angle.
