This unique staggered marble border is fashioned from carefully selected tones of Connemara Marble, cream limestone and precious blue, over a cement base ensuring that the border is not only stable and sound, but also easy to install. Totally handcut, hand assembled, a truly handmade product. No border is the same, as the artist’s hand is vital in creating natural nuances within each interlocking piece. Connemara Marble is a serpentine-rich rock, popular since ancient times as a decorative facing stone. With its ‘forty shades of green’ and its wild patterns, it represents perfectly the landscapes of the Emerald Isle. Connemara Marble inspired artists, architects and artisans throughout the world. Thicknesses can be 1cm or 2cm or to order, as can the border widths and material combinations. All the De Ferranti borders are fully customisable.

Staggered Marble Border with Curved Limestone Dividers

Emerald Isle Border 4 has a distinct linear structure, built from offset rectangular stone panels rather than the teardrop accents used elsewhere in the series. Pale curved dividers separate the blocks and create a gentle visual cadence across the border. The palette moves through moss green, pale yellow-green, blue-grey and darker mineral tones, with occasional reddish veining bringing natural warmth.

This staggered marble border is useful where a project needs rhythm, colour variation and handcut craft, but with a cleaner, more rectilinear format. It can be used as a floor border, threshold strip, framed insert, wall border or tailored perimeter detail, subject to the material schedule and installation method.
