Bone and Horn artistic work is a traditional craft practised throughout the Middle East and India. De Ferranti works with an historic Indian workshop to develop decorative inlaid and assembled panels which can be used on walls and floors or as detailing in furniture. The pure geometric patterns have special impact in monochrome.

Horn Versailles Panel with Dark Geometry

This horn Versailles panel reinterprets the classical Parquet de Versailles structure through a deep, tonal horn surface. The design is built from repeated square modules, with diagonal lattice work and inset geometric details creating a disciplined field of shadow, polish and subtle relief.

Unlike the bone and horn version, Parquet de Versailles in Horn is almost monochrome. Its interest comes from the natural movement of the horn itself: smoky greys, near-black sections, fine striations and occasional warm undertones that appear as the surface catches light. The result is quieter than a high-contrast pattern, but more atmospheric and material-rich.

As a Horn Versailles Panel, this product is suited to projects where the geometry needs to feel refined rather than graphic. It can work beautifully on doors, screens, cabinet fronts, ceiling panels, tabletops, furniture details and walling, subject to backing, fixing method and intended use.

Parquet de Versailles in Horn is made to order, allowing De Ferranti to discuss panel scale, layout, backing, direction of grain and suitability for the intended application. The dark tone makes it especially strong for libraries, bars, private rooms, yacht interiors and atmospheric residential spaces where material depth is as important as pattern.
